A significant controversy has emerged in Thailand involving top Buddhist monks. This situation, which surfaced in mid-June with the unexpected departure of a respected abbot, centers around a woman identified as "Ms. Golf."
She is accused of orchestrating a large-scale extortion scheme targeting Buddhist monks nationwide. Authorities allege she engaged in relationships with monks, recorded private moments, and then demanded substantial sums to keep these recordings confidential. Police investigations have reportedly uncovered a vast number of sensitive files and an estimated 102 crore rupees (385 million baht) extorted over a three-year period.

"மிஸ் கோல்ஃப்" துறவிகளுடன் தனிப்பட்ட உறவுகளை ஏற்படுத்தி, ரகசியத் தருணங்களைப் பதிவு செய்து, பின்னர் இந்த பதிவுகளை பகிரங்கப்படுத்தாமல் இருக்க கணிசமான தொகையை மிரட்டிப் பறித்ததாக அதிகாரிகள் குற்றம் சாட்டுகின்றனர்.
காவல்துறை விசாரணைகளின்படி, மூன்று ஆண்டுகளில் சுமார் 102 கோடி ரூபாய் (385 மில்லியன் பாட்) மிரட்டிப் பறிக்கப்பட்டதாகவும், ஏராளமான ரகசிய கோப்புகள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது. இந்த விசாரணைகளின் விளைவாக, ஒன்பது மூத்த துறவிகள் தங்கள் பதவிகளில் இருந்து நீக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர், மேலும் பலர் தலைமறைவாகிவிட்டனர்.
